Exton Drama Club Post Pandemic
Following the quietening down of the Coronavirus pandemic, Exton Drama Club was eager to get back to performing.
December 2022 – Christmas in Exton
Christmas time saw Exton Drama Club members take to the stage in a wonderful variety of was to showcase their talents for very appreciative audiences. From humours monologues, through classic poetry and lively music, there really was something for everyone, all masterfully compared by Les Richards.









October 2022 – An Exton Original Evening
October saw the resident playwright of Exton Drama Club, Rachel Feeny-Williams directing four short comedy plays. This event saw lots of newcomers to the society and a lovely time was had by all!
Play 1 – “Tidy Away My Soul” – Alison is desperately trying to sell her house so she can move on, the only problem is the ghost of her dead husband has other ideas!
Play 2 – “The Ladies of the Colourful Society” – The ladies of the colourful society meet to have their quarterly meeting but a few may end up with faces in interesting shades!
Play 3 – “Mother Knows Best” – Richard (Dickie) has lived under the shadow of his formidable mother Rosemary and her rules all of his life but when the former love of his life Charlotte arrives on the day of her funeral to convince him she’s not haunting him anymore, she has something to say about it!
Play 4 – “Scandals & Scones” – A baking competition at a church fete. Nothing more harmless you’d think. Well as Jane (a newcomer to the village) is about to discover, you get a lot of scandals with the scones!





July 2022 – Summer Event
In July 2022 Exton Drama Club took to Goosefield in Exton on a beautiful sunny Saturday afternoon. Firstly, members of Exton Drama Club (dressed in all their finery) performed a staged reading of original murder mystery “A Deadly Engagement” while the audience tried to figure out if they could establish the guilty party!
Following the performance it was then the audience’s turn to perform as they participated in a reading of “Hells Bells”, another original script by James Muirden. It was a lovely afternoon and all in all a wonderful time was had by all.
